Hone your craft while supporting the screenwriting community this GivingTuesday!Donate $10 (or more!) by December 2nd to be entered into a drawing to receive feedback on your script from WGF's very own Javier Barrios and Lauren O'Connor. With hundreds of scripts read between the two of them, librarians Javier and Lauren are WGF's resident script experts. They'll read one lucky winner's script, take notes, and then meet privately in the WGF Library with them to discuss. (Live far away but still want to support? Javier and Lauren can meet via Zoom, too.)GivingTuesday donations will help...
- Strengthen community through special library tours and events like Write-A-Thons that bring writers together to learn, connect, and collaborate.
- Protect the next generation of storytellers by using our collections to train human writers, not AI.
- Expand educational access for emerging writers both here in LA and abroad by providing online resources like script breakdowns and blog posts that meet writers wherever they are.
- And, of course, build our collections so writers of all experience levels can further their screenwriting education.
Click the button below to donate and enter! The fine print: Please note that this is not professional script coverage, just some friendly feedback from two writers (and readers!) who have read A LOT of scripts. Date and Time for meeting with the librarians will be mutually agreed upon by winner and librarians.Donation amount must be at least $10 USD and must be received by 11:59 p.m. PST on December 2, 2025 to enter the drawing.
