  • A new class gets their chance and your gift goes twice as far

This summer, 45 military veterans were selected from nearly 500 applicants to join the Writers Guild Foundation's Veterans Writing Project. We're looking forward to providing them ten months of mentorship and training. For many of them, these are their first real connections in Hollywood.

We have secured a grant to support this new class — but it only unlocks when we raise a matching amount from donors in our community. We need to raise $30,000 by the end of June, when the class begins.

For 17 years, the Writers Guild Foundation has believed in this program because veterans have stories that Hollywood needs, and Hollywood needs people who know how to tell them.

This match is a rare chance to make those dollars go further and to help open a door for an aspiring writer.

We know times are tough. But we've seen first-hand how familiar screenwriters are with the importance of community during tough times.

The Writers Guild Foundation is affiliated with the Writers Guild of America West, but we're 100% responsible for securing our own funding. (A.K.A. asking generous, amazing people like you for your support.) Please join the hundreds of other generous donors supporting the voices of tomorrow with a gift to WGF today.
